TAGS international expert workshop PDF Print E-mail

The first expert workshop of TAGS is organized in Windsor, UK on June 7, 2010. The meeting will focus on creating a common understanding of the methodology and requirements for a tiered aggregate exposure assessment approach with the help of key scientists and stakeholders. In particular we want to discuss the issue of when an aggregate exposure estimate is required. The outcomes of this workshop will be reported in a monograph, which will be freely distributed to participants and other interested parties.

The meeting agenda is as follows:

0930-0945 Welcome and Coffee  (IOM)
0945-1015 Introduction to TAGS and team, including summary of JRC/CEFIC workshop (CERTH/JRC)
1015-1100 Aggregate exposure, state of the art (VITO)

1100 – 1115 coffee break

1115-1145 Criteria for using “simple” versus aggregate exposure assessment (IOM)

1145-1300 Discussion on criteria for triggering (based on questions in the discussion document), perhaps small groups dealing with specific questions (IOM)


1300-1400 Lunch


1400-1430 Tiered approach for aggregate exposure assessment (VITO)

1430-1450 Full chain Tier 2 aggregate exposure assessment (HEIMTSA - JRC)

1450-1530 Discussion on Tiered approach (VITO)
